Villa Vans is a professional coach builder,
providing conversions of new, and previously-owned, cargo vans into "adventure" recreational vehicles.
The DIY van conversion experience is a very time consuming exercise and needs a large array of skills.
Villa Vans aims to replace that challenge with an affordable and professional alternative. Check out our
gallery.
Storage is always at a preimium in a van, so we have utilised the available space with plenty of storage, while still maintaining an open and spacious feel. Overhead cupboards line the tops of both walls.
The space has been left flexible by
using non-mounted surface appliances. Ample food preparation space
or an area for placing applicances. There is room left underneath
for a small 110V bar fridge or chest type 12V fridge.
The 159" and 159" Extended differ by approximately 14" and this
is reflected in the width of the galley drawer cabinet and also
the width of the sink cabinet.
The sink area is supplied with an ample 16" x 14" (159" Extended model) steel sink and electrically operated faucet.
An attached fold down work surface provides additional space during clean up.
The 159" and 159" Extended differ by approximately 14" and this is reflected in the width of the sink cabinet and also the width of the galley drawer cabinet.
Robust sliders are used. The table stows neatly away
Sit while you eat, work or converse.
A fold down table for outdoor use provides a handy workspace when standing outside.
Plenty of room for mountain bikes and hiking gear.
On the roof is the remote controlled Maxxair vent and large solar panel array.
Begin your van conversion by selecting your preference of colour finishes (note that due to variances in display screens, these colours could vary from reality, so stop by our office for a look at some samples if you would like). The standard pallete selections are shown.
Production times
Production times are fluid. Please feel free to call the office to inquire
about current lead times and to book your build today. If a client is
having their own van outfitted, then it is necessary to bring the van
into the office 2 weeks before production is scheduled.
Which vans do you convert?
Currently we specialise exclusively in the Ram ProMaster 159", and 159"
Extended, High Roof models, due to their combination of size, affordability,
availability and reliability.
Client Supplied Van
Typically our clients will bring their own van to Villa Vans for the build
process.
The advantage for the client in supplying their own van is that they will
not need to deal with getting the vehicle inspected or certified in their
home state, or province, when they register it.
If a client is having their own van outfitted by us, then it is necessary
to bring the van to the office 2 weeks before production is scheduled.
If you are supplying your own van, please ensure that it is stripped of
any previous upfitted items, such as internal wall panels, shelving etc,
and is clean and bare, ready to begin work. If additional preparation
work is required, it will be at additional cost, and invoiced separately.
The vehicle must be in a roadworthy condition and the internal cargo area
must be free of damage.
How long does the conversion take?
Approximately 4 weeks once it gets to the front of the production queue.
We will keep you updated about your place in the queue and the projected completion date.
What is the cost of the conversion?
Van conversion† is $35,000 + GST CAD (Approx $26,000 USD) for the
159" and $38,000 + GST CAD (Approx $28,000 USD) for the 159" Extended.
†Van not included
If additional preparation work is required, due to the condition of the
van, it will be at additional cost, and invoiced separately.
Customs duties, fees, or taxes may be due when bringing the vehicle across
the border or state lines. The customer is liable for any duties, fees
or taxes, or other compliance with local regulations when registering
the vehicle (elsewhere, other than Alberta, Canada).
What is the size of the bed frame for the mattress?
Standard RV queen size, i.e. 64" wide x 74 1/2" long.
The mattress is not included, as finding the right firmness of mattress is very much a customer preference.
How is the van electrically powered?
Either by shore power (i.e. 110V), or battery.
To recharge the battery, we have two sources: solar and shore (plug-in).
The electrical system is smart and automatically switches between the
inputs to provide optimal charging and battery longevity.
What is the warranty?
Villa Vans warrants the Product to be free of all defects in material
and workmanship for 1 year.
See the full Warranty
sheet for more details.
Are appliances included?
We don't include the fridge or induction top, instead we leave these choices to customer preferences.
Some people prefer a 12V chest style fridge and some a 110V bar style fridge, some prefer no fridge at all.
We allow the space and wiring for either 12V or 110V.
Some customers prefer a single induction ring and others a double ring.
We leave it to the customer to decide which countertop appliance they will pick up later.
